Introduction to Watercolor | Paint a Pumpkin!

Join us for a fun and relaxing day of painting at The Flower Farm in Loomis. This in-person hour and a half course is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of watercolor painting, but is also beneficial to those with some art background. As a science illustrator, I'll go over the basics of outlining and sketching the form of the subject (in this case, a pumpkin!), recognizing light and shadow areas, using color theory, and how to perform basic watercolor techniques and washes.

During the event, participants are welcome to sip wine from our winery next door while they create, or enjoy a farm-to-fork lunch at our café before class.

After class, guests are invited to explore more of the property—whether that’s visiting the pumpkin patch or taking home a fresh bouquet from our flower field for an additional $20.
